I’ve been knitting a lot lately; it keeps me sane while I supervise my younger son doing homework. I literally have to clicking away to stay patient, but I can’t pay much attention to patterns. Therefore, projects need to be simple, like this cap I made for my former au pair’s daughter. I had this one ball of pastel blue/pink/lavender yarn, left over from some project I never completed for my daughter. Definitely girly and babyish, but not much of it! What to do with it? And for whom? Thankfully, our former German au pair, who is like a second daughter to us, was visiting recently, and she’s the only one in my vicinity who has a baby girl. So I indulged my inner grandmother and knitted a cap for the baby. Along the way I adhered to my motto for the year: Create!
